Oconee County Library Reading Program

On Sunday, June 19th, 2011, members of the Georgia Garrison and Bespin Base attended the promotional reading program at the Oconee County Library. After the event, the Georgia Garrison CO received this email from a visitor at the library,

Thank you so much for coming out to Oconee County today! It was such a great experience to let my daughters (ages 4 and 5) meet Chewbacca, Darth Vader, the X-Wing and TIE pilots, the Tusken Raider, and all the various troopers . . . characters of whom I had Kenner action figures of as a kid! My 5 year old told Chewbacca his fur was "tickle-y" after she hugged him. Honestly, that was one of my favorite experiences so far as a father. Anyway, I know it must take a lot of time, effort, and funds to keep an operations like the this going, so I just wanted to say "thanks" and "keep it up!" It made for an unforgettable Father’s Day!

We will be visiting the library again on Sunday, July 24th, 2011, from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
